Born in East Bergholt, Suffolk, Sarah Raphael was an English painter who achieved significant recognition for her portraits and draughtsmanship. After studying at Bedales School in Hampshire, she attended the Camberwell School of Art in London, where she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree.
